This pendant showcases a large, self collected Arkansas crystal framed in copper and adorned with a paint drip. It is approximately 83mm. It is strung on a 30 inch copper chain and has been patina’d to a deep brown and gunmetal finish and sealed.

The “Gwattite Collection” is made from a Fordite variation, originating from the old Gwatney Pontiac Buick GMC paint shop in Sherwood, AR.

Fordite, as it is most commonly known in the market may also go by: Detroit agate, Motor City agate, or simply motor agate. This material is comprised of layers upon layers of automotive paint which has built up over time in the paint booths and has thickened and hardened sufficiently enough to be cut and polished. Many of the “eyes” are features of drips and runs, much like a stalactite. Every piece is unique.
